About Us

Islands First assists Small Island States in becoming effective and vocal advocates for change within the most important forum for environmental progress – the United Nations. With increased capacity at their UN missions, the Small Island States can become a formidable political force to influence environmental policy within the UN system, where they represent nearly a quarter of votes in the General Assembly. Islands First helps them realize that potential.
